Rain Garden Pre-Planned Garden

The water-cleansing Rain Garden Pre-Planned Garden is both colorful and functional. By planting a colorful mix of durable perennial flowers and ornamental grasses in a depression that collects water, their roots and foliage help to filter and clean the water that percolates into the soil and recharges our aquifers. Rain gardens are a great low-tech way to take water that flows from our roofs and other hard surfaces and allows it to be slowly absorbed by the soil. This helps reduce the destructive flow of dirty storm water run-off into our streams and rivers and creates beneficial habitat using native plants.

The Rain Garden Pre-Planned Garden is available in two sizes, and comes with a garden map and care and planting instructions.

The large pre-planned Rain Garden covers approx. 100 sq. ft. and includes a total of 18 perennials:

• 3x Rose Swamp Milkweed
• 3x Wild Bergamot (Wichita Mountains Form)
• 3x Crystal Peak White Obedient Plant
• 2x Jeana Garden Phlox
• 2x Gray Headed Prairie Coneflower
• 2x Fireworks Goldenrod (Solidago)
• 2x Undaunted® Ruby Muhly Grass
• 1x Shenandoah Switchgrass

The small pre-planned Rain Garden covers approximately 50 sq. ft. and includes a total of 9 perennials:

• 2x Rose Swamp Milkweed
• 1x Wild Bergamot (Wichita Mountains Form)
• 1x Crystal Peak White Obedient Plant
• 1x Jeana Garden Phlox
• 1x Gray Headed Prairie Coneflower

For best results, we recommend planting with Yum Yum Mix and Root Stimulator Combo Pack.

Plants are subject to change due to availability. Any substitutions will feature plants with similar attributes suitable to the garden design. Not all plants will be in bloom at the same time, as may be depicted in the artist’s rendering.
